Idaho Falls Banjo Instruction

Hello everyone. I hope you're enjoying the nice weather we're finally having as much as I am! Let's hope it sticks around. This is the perfect weather to hang outside on practice your banjo. Sunny weather inspires the inner porch musician in all of us. I teach a number of instruments in the Idaho Falls area including the banjo, guitar, bass guitar, brass instruments, mandolin, piano, and drums. I teach music for a living and offer educated knowledge to those who seek it. My lessons cover important musical topics such as theory, scales, chords, note reading, ear training, and improvisation. If you're looking to become a proficient banjo player, I will help you develop your rolls, chords, and repertoire. I developed my pedagogy skills at the University of Oregon where I earned my bachelors degree in music composition. Now I use what I've learned to teach my students the necessary skills to be a competant and knowledgable musicians all while having fun.

I teach beginning to intermediate banjo students. My philosophy is to make the lessons fun and laid back while pushing you to develop your craft. Students should not have any reason to be nervous or intimidated by the banjo. Like anything else, it just takes getting used to. I teach one-on-one banjo lessons, as well as small class lessons of up to three students. The added benefit of the class lessons is that each student receives a significant discount on the lessons. Slots are filling up fast for the year so get one while you can. Happy spring!
